Blake Griffin Retires From NBA After 13 Seasons

Six-time All-Star forward Blake Griffin announced his retirement from the NBA on Tuesday. The 33-year-old was the No. 1 overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA Draft and spent 13 seasons in the league. Griffin was a six-time All-Star, five-time All-NBA selection, and won the 2011 Rookie of the Year award.
Griffin averaged 18.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in his career. He played for the Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics. Griffin was known for his high-flying dunks and powerful play style. His retirement is a significant loss for the NBA.
